Debut by Redrow

When it comes to furnishing your new Debut home, it's always good to clearly define all spaces. Open plan rooms always feel bigger. Play with mirrors and panels of glass to bounce more light and reflection into your living space. Reflective wallpapers also work in the same way. Ensure window treatments frame the window and don't cover any valuable light - let the sunshine pour into each room. Always try and use light coloured fabrics for your curtains and blinds but when it comes to paint you can be bold on the odd wall to create impact - remember you can easily repaint a wall and transform a room with very little cost.

When it comes to appliances try to opt for built in versions where possible as they take up less floor space and can often house more storage. Remember also when choosing furniture to look for items which also contain storage - coffee tables and lamp tables with extra shelves will be a blessing in disguise for those books and magazines. Don't be afraid to purchase a large statement piece of furniture but check that it works well within the space; however when it comes to sofas ensure that you go for a slim-line option where valuable space is not taken up by large sofa arms or backs.

Maintaining the same flooring throughout a house always creates a sense of continuity as the eye does not jump from one room to another. Finally remember not to clutter your home too much as less is often more - even if you like to buy lots of accessories rotate them and store them away when not used.

With these few key design ideas, you should be able to achieve the space you want and enjoy the full benefits of Debut living.
