How to buy a debut home in 11 simple steps
Following your initial enquiry to debut, you will go through the following steps before moving into your new Debut home...
- 1. Once you have agreed a mortgage amount with your mortgage provider (please check with your Debut Development for a recommended mortgage provider) you can then book an appointment with the Debut sales team to discuss what properties may be available for you.
- 2. Call or email your chosen Debut development (details on the development page) to book your preview appointment. Please be aware that due to the demand at some development launches you may be given a fixed place within the reservation queue, and therefore booking early for your appointment is recommended to ensure you secure your preferred Debut home. Here you will have the opportunity to view all available Debut housetypes and discuss any queries you may have with a debut sales consultant.
- 3. During your appointment you will be issued with a 'Reservation Pack' with full details on how to reserve.
- 4. Sign your 'Reservation Form' and pay your deposit (from 3%) to secure your chosen plot for 28 days.
- 5. You will then sign your mortgage agreement.
- 6. If you choose to use the services of our chosen conveyancer, you will then sign all relevant paperwork with them.
- 7. Congratulations, you have bought your very own Debut home!
- 8. Redrow, your mortgage provider and your conveyancer will work towards exchange of contracts within 28 days.
- 9. Your contract is signed and deposit monies given to your conveyancer to exchange contracts.
- 10. Congratulations - You now own your new Debut home which has been built especially for you.
- 11. You now have the opportunity to discuss your experience as a Debut homebuyer, you will be called 6 weeks after completion by Debut's research agency, please take the time to provide us with your feedback.
